There are some combinations of food that on the surface seem like they would not go together but they taste excellent. This is one of those occasions 🙂
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
- 1/2 cup organic dried apples (diced)
- 1 tablespoon organic rice syrup
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1-2 teaspoons cinnamon
Place popcorn kernels in a brown paper bag, fold over top and microwave until popping stops. In a mixing bowl combine popcorn, apples, butter, rice syrup and cinnamon. Stir until evenly coated with cinnamon. I prefer my popcorn with extra crunch so I then pour the popcorn onto a baking tray and bake in a 180 degree oven for 5-10 minutes. Once cooled tip into a container and store for up to 5 days – if it lasts that long 🙂
