These biscuits are perfect for school lunch boxes. They are filled with whole grains and are free from refined sugar 🙂
- 1/2 cup Apple Sauce (no added sugar)
- 1/3 cup Honey
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 60 grams Butter
- 1 1/2 cups Wholemeal Flour
- 1 cup Rolled Oats (I blitz the rolled oats for a few seconds in the food processor to make them a little bit finer)
- 1/2 teaspoon Bi Carb Soda
- 80 grams Dark Chocolate (chopped)
Using an electric mixer whisk butter, honey and vanilla until light and fluffy. Whisk through apple sauce until combined. Add wholemeal flour, bi carb soda, rolled oats and dark chocolate. Stir using a wooden spoon until combined. Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls and gently press down with a wet fork. Bake in a 180 degree oven for 10-15 minutes.
