For those of you who know me well sitting still is not something I am good at doing. Unfortunately at the moment the slightest attempt at doing something more strenuous than shuffling around the house causes pain and reminds me that I am still in recovery mode – if only my brain would slow down and recognise this 🙂 The recovery from this surgery has not been as smooth as we would have hoped but after 10 days of solid rest I am getting itchy to get back into my kitchen 🙂
I have struggled with getting back to my normal diet – simply because of lack of appetite and energy to explain to my husband how to cook something that does not come out of box 🙂 If it wasn’t for some family and one particular spectacular friend I would be left at his mercy and every meal would contain something processed and would also come with an added serving of charcoal (apparently it is good for you ??)
So for the day when the delicious soup runs out and daily vegetable delivery from my mother in law comes to an end I have been reading many recipe books and making changes to old favourites to come up with a heap of new recipes. Here is a sneak peek;
