This recipe makes a 1kg loaf. Feel free to add any spices you would like. I keep this one plain because I love the flavour of the dates. Enjoy 🙂
Wholemeal Date & Walnut Loaf
- 200 g dates chopped (I prefer medjool dates)
- 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
- 390 ml warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 4 cups wholemeal flour
- 2 teaspoons yeast
I simmer the dates in a saucepan with some water until softened then dice. Select the wholemeal setting on your bread maker.
