Wraps are great for a convenient meal but if you read the ingredients on the back you might be surprised. Some brands contain up to 10 ingredients. They are also full of preservatives and like some bread the wholemeal versions contain a mixture of flours. These wraps are simple to make and are delicious. They can also be used to make your own pita chips or be used for an extra thin pizza. We love them with some marinated steak, sour cream and salad. Enjoy 🙂
Wholemeal Flat Bread
- 1 cup Atta wholemeal flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 75 ml warm water
- 1 1/2 tablespoon rice bran oil
Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl. Add water and oil. Stir until well combined. Gently knead on a floured board for 1-2 minutes until smooth. Allow to rest on bench for 10-15 minutes. Divide mixture into 4 portions. Roll out each portion until thin. Heat a non stick fry pan and spray with oil. Cook each flat bread until brown on each side (approx 30-60 seconds).
